Midlothian Council

24 Jul

Eight members at Midlothian Council received their certificate for e-revolution from Provost Adam Montgomery. All eight were members of Unison and Unite and enrolled on the course provided by Adam Smith College.

The learning was delivered at the Stobhill Depot in Newtongrange every Wednesday. It was an introduction to computing and mobile technologies and the participants are now hoping to go on and do ECDL. The course was delivered in an informal workplace setting to inspire confidence in computing and social networking and participants were from a broad spectrum across the council services ranging from drivers in waste services to chargehands in education and communities, cooks, care support workers in social work and gardeners.

Participants were delighted to gain 10 credits at SCQF level 4 and more importantly with the confidence gained in IT skills.
